Rasam Recipe
To make Rasam
1) Boil 1/4 th cup Tur dal with turmeric n salt
2) In a vessel put 2 tbsp oil add 1 tbsp urad dal add 1 tsp ginger paste, add 5 to 6 chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 mins
3) add 4 to 5 tsp of Kardemome Rasam masala, 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder , 5 to 6 tbsp of tamarind juice, 1 tsp jaggery , salt to taste
4) Add boiled tur dal
5) add few curry leaves and 5 cups of water (as per desired consistency)
6) and boil this for 5-7 minutes
7)For tadka
a. 1 tbsp oil , mustard seeds, 4 to 5 boria chillies, hing, curry leaves
b. add the tempering to the Rasam
c. garnish with grated fresh coconut n coriander leaves.
